Learning is at the core of what we do on our journey. It is what we as “humans” do best. We have been learning and growing for thousands of years. Sometimes it takes us a little longer to learn than other times. Maybe we get distracted, or blinded by activity
For all of us who have competed in an ultra-endurance event, there is that moment when we are more than half the way to the finish, and we realize that we have a long way to go and it is time to settle in. We start the self-motivation, reminding ourselves that we are going to be there for a while.
In 1732, Alexander Pope wrote Hope Springs Eternal in his poem an “Essay on Man”. And for centuries we have, either explicitly, or implicitly lived with the spirit in our hearts that people will keep on hoping, no matter what the odds. And with this spirit
We get the opportunity to create as we pass along on our journey. And much of what we create and develop presents us with an opportunity. An opportunity to push to become as good (or great) as we are willing to dedicate to it
Never has the world become so small. Our global community is connected together in ways unimagined by most. The impact of what each of us does affecting not just those near us but those very far away.
We all know that experience is a key element of the magic that gets created as we traverse along our journey. We work hard at getting to the right level before we take on big challenges and push ourselves to the next level. It is a good strategy for sure.
