Opportunity to Learn
Learning is at the core of what we do on our journey. It is what we as “humans” do best. We have been learning and growing for thousands of years. Sometimes it takes us a little longer to learn than other times. Maybe we get distracted, or blinded by activity, it could be that we might be unmotivated, or even sort of full of ourselves thinking we know better. But if we are true with ourselves it is when we do not learn that life gets a little bit harder. We know it from athletics, the classic story of not paying attention to what is going on causes a loss when we were poised to win. So, when we find ourselves in a situation where life seems to be getting away from us, we just need to slow it down to make sure that we are benefiting from all of the learning that has gone on before us. And we need to learn in real-time from what is happening around us. If we get this right, then we can avoid that loss when we should have had the win. This is playing out right now with COVID-19. We are way too smart to miss what we need to be doing right now. We have seen this movie and we know the plot-line We can start by bolstering our medical system as we would in a battle with 50% more than we need in peacetime. We know how to do this and once we start down this path, life will start to normalize. So, let’s reach into that massive experience base we have and win this one, now is the time, let’s go do it.
