When we take each step along our journey there is the risk that we might think that we are not as far along as we want to be, that others are doing more, going faster or further. And from this thinking, it is possible that we might step back and think
Life and our journey feel more real, more vibrant, more vivid and compelling when we have challenges that we are working on. There is a fear, an anticipation, a commitment and a reality that we have to embrace when that challenge is, what we would call “big”.
We know that as each day passes, we either make progress on our journey or not. And with the time-starved and interrupt-driven lives that we seem to have evolved to there is risk along the way that we will not accomplish all that we set out to do.
Much of our journey is geared around learning, executing, improving and more. It is founded on the notion that it is worth trying to be better. And all of us would agree with this idea. What’s not to agree with?
All too often we see only the beautiful finale, the spectacular performance, the extraordinary results. Like the beauty of an opera singer, the elegance of a skier going downhill, the raw power of an athlete setting a record.
The journey never ceases to amaze, and one way is how quickly the year goes by. Only two months to go in 2019 and it is time for us to get active in thinking about what we need to do to meet our goals and objectives for the year
