Consider the wise words of Lynne Twist, “What you appreciate appreciates.”


 It's true in every area of our lives. This simple but powerful act of appreciation expands the freedom, creativity, and ultimately the success we experience.


Studies show that being grateful at bedtime helps you doze off faster and sleep longer and better. And, if you cultivate gratitude throughout the day, you're more likely to have positive thoughts as you're drifting off to sleep.


One way to do this is to create pockets of time today to be in utter ahhhhmazement at the exquisite beauty and privilege of being alive. Taste your food, smell the flowers, be renewed by a loved one’s tender hug. Grant yourself the gift of being grateful for the countless luxuries you have right now, regardless of what you may be moving through in your life.


What you appreciate, appreciates…meaning, the more grateful you are for what you already have, the more will find its way to you. Thank yourself for taking this time for you. When you take care of yourself, you enhance the lives of those around you.
